iActive HiLo Height Adjustable Bed
The iActive HiLo is unique in our range. Similar to a hospital-style bed it is height adjustable, but without the hospital bed look! The height adjustment makes it especially useful for users that need to raise or lower the bed for ease of access, or where a carer needs the bed raised.

And just a little more detail on the standard features…
The frames on our range of electric adjustable beds are a strong welded steel construction. There are several welding processes and the method used on our frames is MIG welding. MIG welding is the strongest type of weld and is used in high tech, high impact industries such as the aerospace, aviation and automotive industries because of its’ ability to produce strong, quality welds. This means you’ll have a quality manufactured frame that’s built to last and will provide many years of reliable service.
The finish on the frame is powder coat, not paint. Powder coating is a process that bakes a finish onto the metal frame, and because of this baking process it can be applied in much thicker layers than paint. The end result is that it the finish on your frame has a better performance than paint and resists chipping, scratching and other wear, and keeps its’ quality finish.
The motors used on our electric adjustable beds are electric, not hydraulic, so there’s nothing to leak, they are maintenance free, and whisper quiet. The noise they generate is less than 50 decibels, which is less noise than a typical quiet refrigerator motor, and only while the motor is being activated to raise or lower the bed.
The motors though are inherently safe as they operate on a low voltage through the power box, which converts the power to only 24 volts. Don’t be concerned though; even at such a low voltage the motors have a maximum load push of 6000n, which is more than enough to have you comfortably in your favourite position!
The gravity fall on all of our electric adjustable bases is a safety feature designed into the base. Simply put, the motors are designed to push the bed frame up when raising the bed but not to pull it down when lowering the bed. The motor is not directly connected to the frame so that when the motor is operated to lower the bed it’s gravity that brings the frame down. That way, if anything is caught under the head or foot end of the bed as it’s being lowered, the motor does not continue to pull the frame down and stops any damage being caused if anything is caught under the frame.
The result is a strong, long-lasting and safe bed that will look good and give you many years of trouble-free service.
